1852 - Born presumably in Pittsburgh, the son of Phillip Georg and Margaret (Keinert) Zoeller.

 

   -- Worked as a glass presser, per notes of Frederick E. Zoeller. Dates unknown.

 

1864 - Wife Margaret Huebner born.

 

1888 - Pittsburgh City Directory lists him as “glass blower” residing at 146 South Sixteenth.

 

1892 - Worked as a fireman, up until 1895. It's not known whether he was a firefighter or worked as a “fireman” on a railroad locomotive.

 

1906 - Living in __________ at the death of his father. Thought to be the same Charles Zoeller listed in the 1906 Pittsburgh City Directory as employed in the “fire dept” and residing at 1504 Carson.

 

1907 - May have provided a surety in the amount of $3,000 in the administration of the estate of his late nephew, Raymond F. Zoeller. At the time, he was a “fireman” residing on Pittsburgh's South Side. Also, at the time, owned real estate in West Liberty valued at $3,000.

 

Obituary, 1932

1910 - Was living in Pittsburgh at the death of his mother. As co-executor of the estate, signed the Application for Probate of Will document along with his brother John Zoeller of Washington, PA.

 

1932 - May 1 – wife Margaret died at 12:15 p.m. at age 68. They resided at 1041 Weller Street at the time. Obituary published in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on May 3, 1932 (page 22). Charles apparently was still living at the time. She named Clyde S. Dyer as administrator of her estate. See Allegheny County, PA, Proceedings Index 49, Page 194.
